You'll need a kleenex for this one!
Remind us again about why we invaded Iraq

The key element missing in all the media hype is what the US’s proper moral action is. THE ONLY MORAL THING IT CAN DO, IS IMMEDIATELY BUTT OUT!
"I believe that if we had and would keep our dirty,
bloody, dollar soaked fingers out of the business of
these [Third World] nations so full of depressed,
exploited people, they will arrive at a solution of
their own ... And if unfortunately their revolution
must be of the violent type because the "haves" refuse
to share with the "have-nots" by any peaceful method,
at least what they get will be their own, and not the
American style, which they don't want and above all
don't want crammed down their throats by Americans."
David Sharp, US Marine Commandant General 1966
Ezra Taft Benson, former Secretary of Agriculture, explained: “There is one and only one legitimate goal of United States foreign policy. It is a narrow goal, a nationalistic goal: the preservation of our national independence.
Nothing in the Constitution grants that the president shall have the privilege of offering himself as a world leader. He is our executive; he is on our payroll; he is supposed to put our best interests in front of those of other nations. Nothing in the Constitution nor in logic grants to the president of the United States or to Congress the power to influence the political life of other countries, to ‘uplift’ their cultures, to bolster their economies, to feed their people, or even to defend them against their enemies.” (The Teachings of Ezra Taft Benson, p. 614; see also pp. 682 & 704.)
He continues, “Many well-intentioned people are now convinced that we are living in a period of history which makes it both possible and necessary to abandon our national sovereignty, to merge our nationmilitarily, economically, and politically with other nations, and to form, at last, a world government which supposedly would put an end to war.” (Ibid., p. 695.)
That was quite a while ago. The people weren't listening then. They're not listening now. It would appear that the salvation of the world may well lie in the hands of the internet children, if we actually have that much time.
